JAMMU, Mar 3: Despite facing grave charges of having duped the state exchequer of Rs. 1 crore; ex- Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Mukhtar-ul-Aziz continues to be Jammu and Kashmir government's information director.
And to rub salt on the wounds, officials in the information department are also peeved Aziz's purported dictatorial ways of functioning. Aziz's transfer from the information department within four days of his posting and his subsequent refusal to honour the then government's order was last nail in the coffin of completely in-effective NC-Congress coalition cabinet. The then Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had himself wanted Aziz to be shifted out of information department.

JAMMU, Mar 3: The failure of Jammu and Kashmir Public Works Department (Roads and Building) to furnish information, sought by Ministry of Rural Development Department and failure to complete already sanctioned projects, has led to the stalling of 10th phase of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY), to state.
Sources informed Early Times that in February 2014, the Jammu and Kashmir PWD(R&B) division had forwarded a total of 598 road projects costing Rs. 3700 Crores to Union Ministry of Rural Development Department for sanctioning of 10th phase of PMGSY for state.

JAMMU, Mar 3: Despite lapse of five years the construction work of two Sub Health Centers (SHCs) buildings in Bhaderwah has not been completed.
Sources informed Early Times that the Public Work Department (PWD) had started works on SHCs with staff quarter building at Dranga and Drodhu in the year of 2011- 12, with an estimated cost of Rs. 70 lakhs but surprisingly four years on, the work is still incomplete.
