AHMED ALI FAYYAZ EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, May 20: Hours before Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone, Farooq Ahmed, today made it publicly clear that there would be no restrictions on participation of people in the year's biggest separatist show on the Eidgah Grounds on May 21st, two of the senior Congress leaders--- Minister of Health, Sham Lal Sharma, and Minister of Medical Education, R S Chib---mobilised their subordinate departments to make the Hurriyat Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq's blood camp at Jamia Masjid a big success. Hurriyat's remembrance week is concluding tomorrow on the spacious Eidgah Grounds where a separatist congregation would take a fresh oath of continuing the "freedom struggle till its logical conclusion" and pay homage to Mirwaiz Maulvi Farooq and Abdul Gani Lone, who were gunned down by militants on May 21st in 1990 and 2002 respectively. EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, May 20: olice have seized a consignment of SIM cards which was intercepted over a specific information when it was being supplied to Pakistani and Kashmiri commanders of a formidable militant outfit in the Valley. Authoritative sources revealed to Early Times that Police had found senior officials of a private telecommunication company involved in supplying SIM cards to some militant outfits. JAMMU: The Samba district is faced with acute shortage of kerosene oil for the past nearly one month. All the depots, run by consumer affairs and public distribution department (CAPD), are locked as they do not have kerosene oil to sell. Some depot owners alleged that CAPD officials demanded extra money from them for releasing kerosene oil-filled tankers in their favour. The money was being demanded in the name of a senior CAPD officer, they alleged. Since dealers refused to pay the extra money as bribe, the CAPD officials refused to release the oil. Failed girl student commits suicide

Early Times Report JAMMU, May 20: A day after she failed in her 12th class examination of board of school education (BOSE), a girl student committed suicide by consuming poison at her residence at Marh near here today. A distinction holder in 10th and 11th class examinations, Rashmi Sharma, daughter of Ashok Sharma, failed in two subjects in the BOSE 12th class examination results of which were declared Wednesday. She went into depression after the results, her family members said. She was mentally so upset over her failure that she swallowed poison at her residence today. EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 20: Over a decade and a half after sub-inspector (SI) Sandeep Pal Singh had died of a mysterious bullet shot inside the Bakshi Nagar police station, an alleged drug supplier today died under mysterious circumstances in the police station lock up. Early Times Report SRINAGAR: J&K Bank has once again surfaced as the dominant credit player in J&K. The bank has the largest share of Rs.12, 173.65 crore (71 per cent) of the aggregate outstanding credit of banking sector of Rs17, 117.66 crore in the J&K state at the end of March 2010. The two major banks of the country, State Bank of India (SBI) and Punjab National Bank (PNB), have contributed just 8 and 5 percent respectively to the outstanding credit portfolio.
