Katra, Feb 2: Misuse of parking space at Sub-District Hospital, Katra, continues unabated as authorities watch helplessly. Besides private vehicles, some school buses which offer transportation to the students of a nearby School are seen parked there. As per the sources, denying the directions of the Hospital authorities, some people of Katra are misusing the parking of hospital premises leaving no space for the patient's or even doctor's vehicles.Sources also said that the locals who came to pick up their wards studying in a nearby School park their vehicles in the hospital parking but the hospital authorities hesitates to bar the entry of such permanent vehicles. Sources added that not even the parents only, but some school buses came to pick up the students, also find enough space in this parking only and used to park in the same parking illegally which may result in Jamming the entry of hospital especially in noontime that may affect the patients in case of emergency.
Dr. Gopal Dutt, Block Medical Officer Katra, when contacted by Early Times said, "I already have complaints regarding the same and I also have ordered them not to park their vehicles in the hospital parking, but they still use to park their vehicles here". He added, " we do not have much manpower to deploy a security guard to check the entries of all the vehicles".
