Cycle expedition team interacts with Army Commander 2/2/2015 11:09:31 PM Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Feb 2: The Cycle expedition "SAILAB SE SALAMATI TAK" comprising of 19 Kashmiri youth and nine Army personnel and interacted with Lt Gn DS Hooda, GOC-in-C (Army Commander) , Northern Command at Udhampur today. To commemorate the joint efforts of Jawan and Awaam in saving the precious human lives in the Kashmir valley during the recent flash floods, the cycle expedition from Srinagar to Delhi via Jammu, Jalandhar and Ambala was planned as an expression of grit with which Kashmir fought the floods and how youth symbolized the march towards 'well being' and 'restoration'. The participants of the expedition will also be creating awareness on literature, customs and traditions of Kashmir en-route and at Delhi. These youths will participate in the Annual cultural Festival 'Mecca' of the Hindu College Delhi and will be attending 'Mushaira' the literary festival of the college centered around Kashmir.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
