Jammu, Feb 2: Jammu Police is organizing sports tournament under Civic Action Programme in Sub-Division R.S Pura today in which various teams are participating. Today 4 teams have participated in the tournament i.e Singh Hockey Club Fareed Nagar, Govt. Boys High School Simbal Camp, Dashmesh Hockey Club and Diamond Hockey Club. In today's Ist match of the tournament was Singh Hockey Club Fareed Nagar defeat Govt. Boys High School Simbal Camp by 04 goals. And 2nd match of the tournament was won by Dashmesh Hockey Club who defeated Diamond Hockey Club by 01 goal. A large number of spectators, respectable Panch/Sarpanchs, Spoke persons, Head of Social organizations, Trade union, Head of different Govt. organizations, Petrol Pump association, Retired Police Officers, Martyrs families, Brick kilns owners, Rice Mills owners, Army officers were witnessed the event and lauded the efforts of J&K Police in organizing such events which is giving fillip to the sports activities in the area and attracting the attention of the youth in particulars.
It is pertinent to mention here that J&K Police have launched various schemes under Civic Action Programme for the benefit of general public. |
