Searches conducted in Sunderbani after reports of suspects | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, Feb 2: Army and Border Security Force (BSF) conducted a joint search cum destroy operation in forward areas in Sunderbani sector today after a information of possible intrusion attempt by intruders. However the seven hours long searches turned to be futile. Defence sources said that the searches were conducted after an input provided by the Jammu police sources about the presence of three Anti National Elements (ANEs) in the area. They said that security forces jointly conducted massive searches for almost 7 hours in various forward localities and later called off the operation which turned to be futile. Sources added that the intruders include two militant guides one each from India and Pakistan and a lunching commander with code name Gannat Gul, They said that the search was conducted in the areas of Sunderbani (Rajouri) and Akhnoor (jammu) sectors and no presence of ANEs was noticed. Jammu based PRO, Defence said that the searches were conducted at both the places after the police had provided an input of presence of three ANEs in these areas who reportedly had recently crossed the LoC. Pertinent here to mention that after several unsuccessful attempts by the Pakistani intruders from International Border in Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts, the Indian army has been keeping strict surveillance on the Line of Control in Rajouri and Poonch districts. "Every attempt by the intruders with the help of Pakistan army and ISI will be foiled as the security gird has been enhanced and the forces are maintaining vigil along IB and the LoC as well, " said a senior army officer at Rajouri. |
