Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 16: Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh on Sunday said that the attack on innocent civilians along the Line of Control reflects the desperation of a failed state Pakistan.
"It shows their desperation because Pakistan is a failed state and in order to keep different voices intact and they have a threat from the terrorism which is creating hurdles for them, which is harming them," said Singh.
"They are not understanding that and only to divert their attention they are hurting Indian civilians which is not acceptable, which will be paid back in the same terms," he added.
The Chief Minister emphasized that it is the larger interest of both nations that civilians should not be hurt.
"This is not acceptable that civilians, they are killed, they are injured. What they have to do with anything that they are claiming but they are doing it and they are not looking to the reasons," said Singh.
"The government is planning to have some permanent rescue shelters for them," he added.
Heavy shelling and firing by Pakistani troops along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district left six civilians dead and 15 others injured.
Firing and shelling in entire Balakot Sector again broke out this morning. Heavy firing and shelling in Poonch Sector is continuing since midnight.
Panic has been prevailing among the people living along the border and they have started migrating towards safer places.
