CJM directs SHO to register FIR against SPO, 3 others

Kishtwar, Aug 17: In an alleged case of assault on Machail Matta pilgrimage volunteer offering his services at Ghori Shankar Mandir Sarkoot, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Kishtwar Balbir Jaiswal today directed SHO of Kishtwar police station to register FIR against Special Police Officer (SPO), his brother and two others for assaulting and injuring the complainant with sharp age weapon.
As per the details available with "Early Times", one 20 year old Arun Kumar son of Ashok Kumar resident Matta Kishtwar approach the court of CJM Kishtwar, submitting that while performing voluntary services at Ghori Shanker Mandir Sarkoot where Machail Matta Yatries use to halt for night stay, Neraj Kumar Sharma son of Omkar Sharma working as SPO in police department, his brother Deraj Sharma along with his associates Viney Sharma (teacher) son of Baghwan Das and Lokesh Sharma son of Girdari Lal all residents of Poochal Kishtwar turned up at Sarkoot Mandir and without any reason stabbed him with sharp edge weapon (Khukri) as a result of which he received multiple injuries in his head, arms and hand, added that in case another person present on the spot could not have intervened, they (assailants) might have killed him.
He alleged that while rescuing, another person present on the spot also received some injuries, added that the accused also threaten the temple priest who also tried to come to his rescue. He said that after murderous attack on him, he along with others approach the police post Kuleed for registration of an FIR, but alleged that a Police Sub Inspector on duty namely Puran Chand refused to entertain the complaint as a result of which they left with no other option except to knock the door of court for registration of an FIR against the four influential accused involved in murderous attack on him and urged the CJM Kishtwar to direct SHO Police Station Kishtwar to register FIR against all the accused persons under sections 307, 341, 506, 504, 382 RPC, 7/25 Arms Act.
After hearing the complainant and his counsel, CJM Kishtwar directed SHO Kishtwar to get the complainant medically examined and take appropriate action under law.
"Heard and considered-forwarded to the SHO P/S Kishtwar to get the applicant medically examined and thereafter proceed under law" read CJM Kishtwar order.
While talking to "Early Times", the complainant alleges that Kishtwar police is working under political influence and want to hush up the case. He demanded immediate arrest of all the accused person beside action against the police officer who refuse to entertain their complaint.
