BJP workers of Kashmir refused to raise Bharat Mata Ki Jai slogan
Hardcore BJP leaders become addict of "hospitality" provided by cadre in Kashmir
8/17/2015 12:35:00 AM

Nothing achieved despite spending Rs 100 crore in Valley

Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 16: Notwithstanding repeated visits of "hardcore" BJP leaders Ashok Koul and Ramesh Arora in the Valley, the party has so far miserably failed to even prepare a single worker in Kashmir who is ready to raise "Bharat Mata Ke Jai" slogan. Question is not just raising this patriotic slogan BJP workers are even not ready to respond to this slogan. It appears that for Valley based BJP workers "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" slogan is communal but despite their anti-national approach party leadership is pumping huge funds every month to appease them.
Real face of Kashmir based BJP workers came to the fore during Independence Day function at Kupwara where party Minister, Sukhnandan Choudhary, who holds the portfolio of PHE, Flood Control and Irrigation, was chief guest. A large number of "committed and dedicated" BJP workers, prepared by Ramesh Arora, were gathered in the function along with applications in their hands, but they maintained a criminal silence when Sukhnandan Choudhary raised "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" slogan.
According to media reports, the Minister had to face an embarrassing moment when he raised the 'Bharat Mata Ki…' slogan but no one answered. After finishing his speech, the minister raised the slogan thrice, but no one - neither the assembled people or school children, government forces, and officers - answered his slogan. After this, the minister actually asked, 'Yahan Koi Nahi Hai Meray Siwa Jo Meray Naaray Ka Jawaab Deta' (is there is no one here apart from me who will respond to my slogan?). Local MLAs, senior police and civil officers were also present but they did not respond to Minister's slogan.
Mentality of others who were present there were known but the minister shocked over attitude of BJP workers who were always in front with applications in their hands to take personal favours but they are not ready to even replied "Bharat Mata Ke Jai"
According to an rough estimate BJP has so far spent an whooping amount of Rs 100 crore in Kashmir during the last one year to strengthen organisation in the Valley but nothing has achieved so far. Party has successfully enrolled good number of new members through money and other personal favours but party has failed to prepare even a single worker who is committed to the nationalist ideology of the party.
One and the only achievement of BJP in its Mission Kashmir is that some senior party leaders, with RSS background, have become "addict of the hospitality" being provided to them by their cadre in Kashmir Valley. Instead of working in Jammu where party has a strong base these leaders prefer to stay in the Valley to enjoy hospitality of their party leaders.
