Jammu, Aug 16: 'Failed' to extend good governance, and fulfil its commitments to fight against discrimination with Jammu, coalition partner Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is being perceived as a hurdle in clearing pending files in civil secretariat.
Sources informed Early Times that promotion and posting of several KAS officers to the post of Additional Secretary had been due since March 2015, but due disagreement between coalition partners, the matter is still pending. "Cases of 15 KAS officers are pending, promotion of 12 officers is pending since March, while
despite promotion of three officer in month of April, our further posting has not been made", insiders told Early Times adding that promotion cases were pending due to objections raised by BJP, but efforts are being made to break deadlock over the issue.
Sources further claimed, though the government doing its best, but some hurdles are in way. "Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is willing to clear the files, but further posting these Babus is still oblivion", sources said and added, "despite repeated appeals by these KAS officers to BJP ministers, the matter is still hanging in balance."
Ridiculing BJP for its dual face, the sources said seems that they (BJP) have forget, what they promised and it was not expected from BJP, the so-called voice of Jammu, a KAS officer said, and added, "Resentment is brewing among the backbone of administration, who despite promotion to the rank of Deputy Secretary are forced to work with juniors."
However, sources in civil secretariat maintained that the matter is under process would be cleared soon. "Cases have been finalized, it is expected that the orders will be issued by Tuesday, by General Administration Department", said officer, wishing not to be named. However, he refused to speak over delay in promotion and posting.
