LWWS stages nukkad play 'Aazadi Ki Kimmat' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 16 : Lalded Women Welfare Society (LWWS) presented a nukkad play Aazadi Ki Kimmat at Bhagwati Nagar Jammu. According to press release, the play was conceived and written by Rampaul and directed by Naveen Pal. In this patriotic story one male character Romi is listening old story of partition of the country from his grandmother who use to remind him that how people sacrificed their lives for liberating the country. He further told that today's generation is least bothering for issues of national concern. He cited a number of examples who sacrificed themselves to give a better tomorrow for all of us. Many died in pre mature death and some lost their all-family members in this independence struggle but they never surrendered before the foreign rulers. The grandfather went on telling that youths need to spare time at least for such occasions to help poors and neglected people by organizing welfare camps like blood donation, Free eyes camp, etc so that those who sacrificed for this nation can be given a due respect, by doing this the next generation may also follow the same tradition. However the grandson admitted that he will take on board his friends circle all about told and to uphold the sovereignty and integrity of the country. Romi thanked to his grandfather for the same and hoped that every grandfather may teach the same thing to their respective family members to change the ongoing mindset. LWWS secretary Santosh Basotra appreciated all its members who are dedicated towards the social services being rendered by them. A pledge to preserve unity and integrity of the country was also taken by the members. |
