Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Jan 5: Taking fight a step ahead, PDP today assailed NC leadership of Kishtwar, including MLC Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, for creating hurdles in establishment of a Nursing College at Islamia School, Kishtwar.
NC, however, hit back and accused PDP of selling out the waqaf resources created during the party regime in the state.
Addressing a press conference here today, PDP youth president, Kishtwar, Wasil Doolwal flanked by senior party leaders launched a direct attack on NC leadership, accusing it of creating hurdles in development of Kishtwar district from time to time and added that NC interference in the establishment of a Nursing College at Kishtwar through BGSBU, Rajouri, was the fresh anti-Kishtwar move of NC. He said that the asset of Islamia Faridia College of Education & Research Institute, Kishtwar, was actually created by the community and the claims of establishing it on its own were without reality and termed them as just a political propaganda.
He said the erstwhile Congress-PDP government had announced University for Kishtwar and blamed poor politics of NC, Kishtwar, as a reason of its shifting to Bhaderwah. He said NC for the sake of petty politics was once again opposing the establishment of Nursing College at Kishtwar as it fear that PDP will get credit for the same. He said that the MoU between Auqaf Islamia, Kishtwar, and BGBSU, Rajouri, was yet to be signed and added that PDP was committed for establishment of Nursing College at Kishtwar. He said Administrator Auqaf, Kishtwar, Sheikh Shokat's decision to resign was his personal decision taken by him under NC pressure and ruled out any hand of PDP in it. He said that it was Sheikh Shokat who agreed to provide hostel building for establishment of Nursing college during the recent visit of VC BGSBU Rajouri, adding that backtracking of administrator from his earlier stand followed by his resignation clearly points the finger at NC.
Meanwhile, NC Provincial Secretary Nusrat Farooq Bagban hit out at PDP for sacrificing the interest of poor students purusing education from community run school falling under Auqaf Islamia Kishtwar by selling the waqaf assets to 3rd party for the sake of politics.
In a press statement issued here today, she slammed the PDP leadership of Kishtwar for turning blind eye towards the Auqaf Islamia infrastructure by trying to hoodwink the development carried out by NC.
She said the marvellous infrastructure of Islamia school and establishment of B.Ed college in Kishtwar district and success of Adarsh Balniketan, Kishtwar, was the self explanatory example of the dedication of NC leadership of Kishtwar and the contribution of late Bashir Ahmed Kichloo followed by his two sons Tanveer Ahmed Kichloo and Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo towards flourishing of Islamia school and Balnikeetan School is not a hidden story, but PDP for the sake of self interest was busy in selling out the public assets to 3rd party.
She alleged that PDP under the garb of Nursing College Kishtwar had struck a personal deal with BGSBU Rajouri by planning to handover B.Ed college girl hostel building to the said university on a rent as under the agreement between BGSBU Rajouri and PDP, the whole income will go to BGSBU Rajouri while in return PDP will get admission share in the Nursing College.
"As B.Ed college income is used for running Islamia School and in case Nursing College will be established inside B.Ed college premises, as per Jammu University norms, the university will cancel the B.Ed college permission which will ultimately rob the Islamia school of its earning," Nusrat said and added that the resignation of administrator Auqaf was due to PDP pressure as PDP wants to adjust a retired bureaucrat as Auqaf administrator to fullfil its political agenda in the prime public institute which NC will never allow to happen. She said time had come for the people of Kishtwar district to show unity to counter devise agenda of PDP-BJP combine.
She clarified that NC Kishtwar was not against the establishment of Nursing College at Kishtwar but not at the cost of income generating B.Ed College. She said that the aim was to create division within the community which would ultimately give benefit to PDP coalition partner BJP in long run.
