Early Times Report KATHUA, Jan 5: Led by all unit presidents of District Kathua and Jammu, the Provincial Electrical Employees Union (PEEU) today staged a protest demonstration against the state government. The main agenda of the protest was to make the unit presidents accountable for the demands and grievances of PDD employees/ workers and to stress upon government the long pending demands of PDD employees. The unit president of tehsil Basohli-Madan Lal, Billawar-Kuldeep Raj, Ramkot-Beer Singh, Hiranagar-Hardarshan Singh, Kathua DK Sharma, Jammu- Bishan Singh, and Samba- Simer Singh participated in the protest. A strategy was made to highlight and resolve the demands and issues of PDD employees like, conducting of DPC at circle level and province level. Implementation of SRO-59 on the same analogy as done in Kashmir, regularization of all daily wagers with a concrete policy who have completed seven years of service, releasing of technical grades to all ITI and non- ITI employees on the same analogy as done in PHE, Forest and Revenue departments. Provincial president of the Union PC Sharma stressed for consideration of all the issues of employees without any further delay adding further delay would invite an agitation. |
