| Unconscious minor identified, grandfather reaches GMC | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 5: With the help of social media, police today managed to locate grandfather of a minor who was found with multiple injury marks from the bushes in Katra Railway station area on January 1.
Police sources said that after the recovery of the minor, Railway police Katra with the help of whatsapp and facebook uploaded the pictures of the minor which was noticed by the father of the minor who is presently working in a Gulf country.
After noticing the picture of his son, he informed the Railway police and asked the Railway police to contact police station of Kapurthala district of Punjab.
Later police acting on the information contacted police and got contact number of grandfather of minor who was identified as Harman alias Hamu son of Harpreeet Singh.
Sharing details with media Nirmal Singh, grandfather of the minor stated that his daughter (Gurjeet Kour) got married with Harpreet Singh 7 years ago.
"After some time their relations became estranged and his daughter returned to his home", said Nirmal Singh, grandfather of the minor adding that his son-in-law is working in Gulf.
He further said that for last one month her daughter along with his minor son went missing and a complaint in this regard has been registered at concerned police station of Kapurthala district of Punjab.
SSP Railway Katra Ashok Sharma said that further investigation to identify the persons who attacked the minor is on. He further added that they are also ascertaining the circumstances under which the minor reached here.
However, condition of the minor was stated to be critical when last reports came in. |
