Parkash Parav celebrated with religious fervor and enthusiasm 1/6/2016 1:06:58 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 5 : Parkash Paravof Guru Gobind Singh Ji was celebrated today at Gurdawara Yadgar Guru Nanak Sahib Ji Chand Nagar, Jammu with full religious devotion and enthusiasm in which large number of devotees from all corners of J&K participated. On this location, Dr. Jaspal Singh Vice Chancellor Punjab University Patial in his speech threw light on the life and achievements of Guru Gobind Singh for Khalsa Panth and entire humanity. Another prominent international preacher Sarabjit Singh Dhunda and addressed the congregation highlighting the revolutionary life and teaching of Guru ji. Resolutions concerned religious and political aspirations of miniority Sikh community were presented by Advocate Surinder Singh and TS.Wazir President J&K State GPB elaborated the details of resolutions which were adopted by the mammoth gathering which included, promotion of Punjabi language and demanded fresh impartial survey to ascertain the facts besides providing Punjabi teachers for survival and development of the language, establishment of Guru Gobind Singh Chair in the Department of Punjabi ,University of Jammu, financial package announced by GOI for refugees of J&K be disbursed as per recommendations of Joint Parliamentary Committee and also educational and rehabilitation Scheme for the children of Refugees 1947 ,miniority status for sikh community, one minister in the State government from the community, member of the community be accommodated in J&K PSC, SSRB and other recruitment bodies, declaration of Kunjwani chowk as Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Chowk, impartial and credible probe into many anti-Sikh carnages. It was also resolved that the DGPC Jammu will continue to organize all the religious programmes with cooperation and suggestions of Sikh sangat.
