Udhampur, Jan 13: The Rashtriya Rifles located at Kalal, Bagga, Samote and Talwara under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Uniform Force Headquarters, Reasi organized Debate, Quiz, painting/ drawing and essay writing competitions.
The students of Government Middle School Argi, Government Middle School, Gulabgarh, Government Girls School, Kandi and Government High School, Bhaga (Reai) participated in the completion.
A total of 250 students participated in the competition. Chief Guest presented prizes to the winners and remarked that such initiatives by the Army will go a long way towards spreading the message of bravery of our heroes.
Army day is celebrated every year on January 15to mark taking over of the command of the Indian Army by the first India Commander-in-Chief Lt Gen (Later Field Marshal) KM Cariappa on the January 15, 1948. |
