Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 13: A police Inspector, who at present is posted as SHO of a police station in a district of Jammu region, is running from pillar to post to get his transfer order modified.
So far, he was said to have called on two to three senior officers posted at the police headquarters (PHQ) and at least two Ministers.
The SHO, who is 'favourite' of his SSP, was transferred from the police station by PHQ and posted in another police wing a few days back. He was, however, yet to be relieved from the police station, police sources said
The police station, which he heads as SHO, is termed as 'big and lucrative' in the particular district. Earlier, he was the SHO of a 'small' police station in the district, but after the SHO of a 'big' police station did not pick up the phone of his "senior", he got him transferred and replaced him.
However, a few days after his posting as the SHO of the 'big' police station, the PHQ ordered his transfer to another police wing, the sources added.
The upset SHO then took leave and rushed to Jammu where he called on senior police officers at the PHQ. Though the seniors assured him to get his transfer order modified, he also approached at least two Ministers, urging them to speak to the senior officers at PHQ.
Sources said even as the Ministers had spoken to the senior officers, his transfer order was yet to be modified. He was camping in Jammu for the past two days, sources informed.
He has also served in Jammu as SHO of different police stations and was transferred on the basis of complaints against him.
