Media highlighting scams, but admn fails to act 1/13/2016 11:00:09 PM M S NAZKI Early Times Report Poonch, Jan 13: Even as media has played a vital role in highlighting scams in various departments, the government is yet to take action against the accused. In Poonch district alone, several scams were highlighted by media in the last over a month or so. Taking cognizance, the district administration even constituted inquiry committees and reports too were submitted to it, but no action has been taken against the alleged scamsters. "Though the administration time and again assured public that severe action would be taken against the accused, in reality nothing has been done," said Poonch people. The question is what happens to these inquiry reports submitted to higher authorities? Does administration want to shield the guilty? Or there is some sort of nexus which prevents the administration to take action on the reports submitted by inquiry committees. These questions can be best answered by those at the helm of affairs.
