Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 13: With the every passing day, heartbeat of BJP leaders is increasing as PDP President Mehbooba Mufti has not shown any eagerness to form the government with the former.
BJP leaders at every public function are trying to give an impression that PDP has unofficially given its consent to form the government and the coalition would be formed within days.
Credible sources in the corridors of power revealed that as of now, PDP leadership has not taken any decision to form government with BJP. Unlike BJP leaders, PDP leadership is showing maturity by not giving any statement on government formation. BJP leaders, on the other hand, are giving statements after every minute regarding government formation but the party (BJP) has not received any response from its earlier coalition partner PDP.
By disowning statement of its spokesman Dr Mehboob Beg, PDP leadership has once again fuelled speculations that something else is cooking.
PDP leadership is giving an impression that attaining power is not priority of the party so they are taking time to take a decision with wider discussions and debate.
The PDP spokesman Dr Mehboob Beg on Tuesday had stated that his party would continue its alliance with BJP. "The coalition between BJP and PDP holds good . There is no question of any other option like Congress", Beg stated.
He also said PDP president Mehbooba Mufti would take oath as the Jammu and Kashmir chief minister anytime after the end of the seven-day official mourning of her late father Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on Wednesday.
"Without any preconditions from either side, Mehboobaji will take oath as the chief minister anytime after the seven-day official mourning ends tomorrow," the PDP spokesman Mehboob Beg had said.
However, PDP has distanced itself from Dr Beg's statement and has described it as his "personal opinion."
