Two day police recruitment drive begins at Ramban | | | Early Times Report RAMBAN, Jan 13: Thousands of candidates participated in a two day Police recruitment drive organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Recruitment Board at District Police Lines, Chandrogh, here today. Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Udhampur-Reasi Range Surinder Gupta visited Ramban and took the stock of recruitment process. Speaking on the occasion Gupta said the recruitment rally registered a good response as about 2957 aspirants including 101 females hailing from various parts of Ramban district participated in it. "The male applicants have to cover a distance of 1600 metres race in 7 minutes and 20 pushups, while females have to cover 1000 metres in 7 minutes and shot-put. Followed by chest and height measurement and the entire process is monitored through electronic sensor jackets and CCTV cameras DIG said. "This is the first in Jammu and Kashmir that we have introduce Transparent Recruitment Process (TRP) for the recruitment in police department and for this the department has hired a Lucknow based private company for which the company has fixed 12 CCTV cameras at different locations to keep a track on the transparency of the whole recruitment process" he added. He maintained that the written test would be conducted in the month of March for the final selection. On the occasion Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban Randeep Kumar, Recruitment Board member SSP Dilip Kumar and Deputy Senior Superintendent of Police (Dy.SSP) Ramban M R Chaudhary besides many other officials were present. |
