DDC Ramban visits Khari, Banihal

RAMBAN, Feb 28: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban, Bashir Ahmed Dar convened Public Grievances Redressal (PGR) Camp at Khari, Chaknarwah and Chamalwas to take first hand appraisal of the problems and demands of the people.
Tehsildar Khari, Tanveer -Ul- Majid, Tehsildar Banihal and officers of various departments attended the camp. Sarpanchs, Panchs and people of the area apprised off the DDC about various problems being faced by them which include issues of land losers during construction of various roads and evacuation of state lands.
Shortage of electricity, shortage of adequate staff in schools and health centres and shortage of ration besides demanded to start preparation of Aadhar Cards in Khari, livestock health care, development of Mahu Mangit as tourist spot, clearance of liability under MGNREGA, IAY and other schemes and carrying out the maintenance and repair work on some roads. Addressing the gathering, DDC said that more such camps will be organised for helping the populace of rural and far-off pockets for addressing their problems on fast-track basis. He emphasized the need close coordination between the administration and the people for effective implementation of various welfare and development programmes and added that it is pre- requisite for growth and progress of area.
