Police organizes bike rally | | | Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Feb 28: To aware the people for adhering traffic rules for ensuring safe and comfortable driving over hundred bikers from across the district Ramban participated in a 10 Km "Zindgi Nahi Sasti - Safe riding" motor bike rally which was Kicked off by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban Randeep Kumar from bus stand Ramban and was culminated at Kowbagh after covering Ramban Town, Maitra Village and District Police Line Chandrog, here today. The rally was organized under civic action programme of Jammu and Kashmir Police. On the occasion SSP Ramban emphasized the importance of road safety measures saying that several lives would be saved if bikers wear helmets. He said that people should strictly follow the traffic rules as these are imperative while driving on the roads besides also creating a sense of safety among the pedestrians. He said that such awareness programmes would be a regular feature and a majority of youth should also be involved in these programmes as they constitute the numerous of motor-bikers, drivers and have an important role in disseminating the message about the road safety standards. Besides this locals also appreciated the police department for organising such type of events expressed that awareness campaigns are very important for creating a sense of discipline and adherence to various safety standard while driving.
