JAMMU, Feb 28 : In view of insufficient funds sanctioned by the J&K State Sports Council, the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) has decided to hold the State Championship at divisional level to accommodate with the financial constraint. "Since the Sports Council could not provide the required funds, it was decided in the Executive Committee meeting of the JKFA, held at Jammu in the recent past, to hold the competition at divisional level so as to reduce the expenditure," informed sources told. Accordingly, to initiate the process, vice presidents of Jammu have been asked to invite DFAs (District Football Associations) for participation. On the other hand, process has been initiated in Srinagar for the provincial level competition starting from March 16. |
