Infant among four of family killed in fire incident | | | Early Times Report
Doda, Mar 1: Four members of a family, including a seven month old infant died when a residential house was gutted after a fire engulfed the house completely in a remote village of Doda district on Tuesday. According to police sources, the fire broke out in the house of one Abdul Rashid at Gadan village of Bhagwah in the Doda district. "The house got completely gutted resulting in death of four members of the family, a villager said here today. Meanwhile according to police sources, the deceased have been identified as Ab Rasheed (55), s/o Rusla Butt his wife Fata Begum (50), his daughter-in-law Mubeena (22) and seven-month old grand-daughter. Villagers tried their best to douse the flames but couldn't help as the entire hut made of dry wood further added fuel to fire. They said that the owner had dumped dry fodder near his house for cattle and that it might have caught fire from the spark from burning fire place used for cooking. Meanwhile police officials from Doda have rushed to the spot to take stock of situation. A case stands registered in this regard and police have started investigations to ascertain the cause of fire resulting into tragedy. |
