Mess in Information Deptt: Officer provides shelter to mafia 3/1/2016 11:53:01 PM Early Times Report jammu, Mar 1: Reshuffling of officers/officials from one to another section is a routine affair in all departments, be it in Government or in private sector. But this principle is not implemented in the Information Department of J&K Government where a mafia system is functioning. Some officers and officials of the department are working in some lucrative sections for the last so many years but those, who at the helm of the affairs, have utterly failed to dislodge these employees from important positions. These employees are so expert in the sycophancy that whosoever may be the helm of the affairs they become their loyalists and blue-eyed within days. These powerful employees, who have been working on "important" sections, have successfully influenced the incumbent officers of the Information Department. The million dollar questions are- How these employees managed to win over their incumbent bosses? Is only sycophancy culture working or there are some monetary considerations? Credible sources in the Information Department revealed that a sort of mafia has been working in the department so no one can take action against these influential employees. Recently a senior officer in the Information Department, who pose himself as revolutionary to streamline department, has also fell into the trap of these powerful employees-what so ever may be the reason.
