Allow them to settle in Pakistan to eat Pakistani rice | Motivated opposition in Kashmir to NFSA | | Early Times Report jammu, Mar 1: It has become customary with the anti-national forces in the Valley to oppose each and every Indian legislation, even if it is people friendly. And it has been happening, particularly since 1975, when the deflated Sheikh Abdullah was brought back to power by the Congress after bringing down its own duly-elected Government - an act which dumbfounded both the critics and admirers of the then Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The only thing that they do not hate is the Indian taxpayers' money. To fleece India, they even misinterpret Instrument of Accession and ask New Delhi to meet all the financial needs of Kashmir. NC working president Omar Abdullah and a number of other Kashmiri leaders, plus the so-called civil society members in the Valley, are on record having said that "New Delhi has failed to redress the financial grievances of Kashmiri Muslims, including the flood victims". As late as on February 24, Omar Abdullah said that if New Delhi wanted to end alienation of Kashmiri Muslims, it had to restrict its jurisdiction over J&K to defence, foreign affairs and communications and meet the financial needs of the State. They have turned so rabidly anti-India that they have been opposing even the National Food Security Act (NFSA). On Monday, the so-called Coordination Committee Baramulla (CCB), which was formed only recently to spearhead agitation against the NFSA, organized a protest demonstration in Baramulla district to attract the attention of the Government of India to their demanding seeking withdrawal of the NFSA. Those who took part in the politically-motivated demonstration, held at the Main Chowk Baramulla, not only demanded withdrawal of the Act, but also asked the authorities to "open a border outlet" with Pakistan-occupied-Jammu and Kashmir so that they could "fetch rice" from across the border. They denounced the Government of India and the NFSA, which was implemented in the State on February 15. On Tuesday, it was the turn of anti-nationals in the Pampore area to come on to the roads to register their opposition against the NFSA. Protesters blocked Srinagar-Jammu highway at Pampore. Reports from Srinagar said that "locals staged demonstrations at Drangbal in Pampore area to protest against the Act". Condemning Government of India and repudiating the NFSA, some of the protestors reportedly on Monday said: "We wonder how the previous Government (PDP-BJP coalition Government) passed an anti-people Act. They claim to represent us but it is ironical that they have forced hardships on us by implementing this Act". So much so, one of the protestors reportedly said the PDP-BJP coalition Government implemented the NFSA at the behest of the RSS. "These are diktats that directly come from RSS headquarters but the politicians who claim to represent us follow these diktats," he was quoted as saying. The main demand of the protesters was that they wanted ration as per the old scheme. "We want to warn the Government that either we are provided as per the old scheme or they open the border. We can fetch ration from across the border if this Government can't feed us," a member of the CCB reportedly said. There is a permanent way out available: Let the Government of India allow them to cross over to Pakistan or POJK to settle down there and eat Pakistani rice and other things. If they stayed in Kashmir, they can't fetch rice and other items from across the border because of the currency factor. Even otherwise, all the anti-nationals needed to be deported to Pakistan because they draw their inspiration from Islamabad. This would solve their problem on a permanent basis and it would also lessen burden on Indian exchequer and help the Indian security forces to maintain law and order with somewhat ease. |
