Kishtwar, Mar 1: Barring Dangha (Breast wall) politics under MGNREGA which had made no visible development on ground is seen in past, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar today directed the Rural Development Department (RDD) officials to stress on creation of tangible assets under MGNREGA during a meeting at New DC Office Complex here today.
As per the details available with "Early Times", Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Gulam Nabi chaired a high level meeting of RDD Officials which was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development Kishtwar Akther Hussain Qazi, BDO's of Kishtwar District, JE's VLWs, GRS and other staff members of the department in which DC Kishtwar revived the progress of the developmental activities of RDD laid focus on creation of tangible assets in the District which will give benefit to one and all in long run.
He also advised RDD officials for maintaining the ratio of Cost Benefit Ratio while executing the developmental schemes.
DC Kishtwar during his two hour long marathon meeting reviewed the Panchayat wise progress and enjoined upon all the officers/officials to work in well coordinated manner.
DC Kishtwar also asked them to pull up their socks to achieve the desired target vigorously by involving the field functionaries for facilitating the smooth implementation of the developmental programs.
He directed the officers/officials to maintain the inventory of the completed works and after completion of these works; same should be handed over to the community for its utility. DC also directed the officers for increasing people to people contact by organizing Gram Sabhas and through awareness camps so that people could take maximum benefits from the government schemes.
Among others present in meeting included ACD Kishtwar, XEn REW, DPO, AD Planning, All BDO's AAO's, AEE, AE's, Senior Assistants, Junior Assistants, HE's, TA's, VLW's, MPW's, Gram Sewaks, GRSs and others. Earlier the participants also condoled the tragic demise of KAS Officer Kalyan Singh, his wife and other family members in road tragedy at Khelani Doda and prayed for the eternal peace to the departed souls. Some of officers also recalled their association with departed soul Kalyan Singh who had served as Assistant Commissioner Development Kishtwar for nearly two years. |
