kishtwar, Mar 1: Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Chhatroo, Masood Ahmed Qazi has placed five teachers under suspension for dereliction of duties. Official sources said during surprise check of various schools on the first day of their opening after three month long winter break, the SDM found five teachers absent from their duties. The suspended teachers included Rifat Kouser, a master in high school, Dadpath, Rakesh Kumar, teacher in higher secondary school, Mughal Maidan, Amayat Muzamil, a teacher in middle school, Deller, Irshad Ahmad, a master in high school, Damber, and Gulshan Akhtar, a teacherin the same school. The SDM also sought explanation from them for being absent from duties. He also directed the heads of schools to introduce biometric attendance system in schools for effective monitoring of attendance. |
