jammu, Mar 1: 1st Additional Sessions Judge, Jammu, M A Chowdhary today awarded four years imprisonment to Karan Kumar, Subash Chander and Swaran Singh, all sons of Kaka Ram @ Kutti, Sarwan Kumar, son of Bodh Raj, Beer Singh and Janak Raj, both sons of Sansar Chand and Ranjit Kumar, son of Ram Dass, all residents of Prambli, who were facing trial in a murderous attack on Chuni Lal. The judge, after hearing the APP, observed that in view of ocular evidence corroborated by the medical expert it was proved that the accused had caused simple and grievous injuries to the victim by forming an unlawful assembly. Therefore, the commission of offences punishable under sections 323, 325 and 149 of RPC were proved against the accused, he said. With these observations, the court awarded 2 years imprisonment under section 325 of RPC and 2 years under section 149 of RPC and sent the accused to central jail for serving the sentence. (JNF) |
