Hit 'n' Run case: Class 1st student mauled to death by rashly driven car

rajouri, Mar 1: A first class student studying in a religious school (Madrassa) at Manjakot in Rajouri district was hit by a rashly driven car in the afternoon today and later succumbed to his injuries on way to district hospital at Rajouri.
"The deceased has been identified as Musair Ahmed (7) s/o Tanveer Ahmed of Manjakote," police said
Police has identified the accused as an advocate of the area who fled from the district hospital leaving behind his car after the doctors declared the boy brought dead.
Police has booked the accused in case FIR No 9 u/s 279/337 and 304A RPC, police said.
According to Station House Officer (SHO) Manjakot inspector Mohd Younis a police party has been dispatched to arrest the accused.
Police said, "At about 3.30 pm a minor Musair Ahmed (7) s/o Tanveer Ahmed was crossing the road near Manjakot police station when the Alto car bearing temporary regd no: BK- 5869 hit the boy resulting him critical injuries."
"Unidentified owner reportedly Advocate by profession immediately took the boy to District Hospital without any intimation at Police Station Manjakot, police said.
"The boy was declared brought dead by the doctors, police said, adding, "however apprehending trouble the accused fled" said an eyewitness.
"The car has been seized by the police, police said, adding 'manhunt is on to nab the accused." Pertinently the deceased belong to village Ghambir Mughlan and his father had migrated to Manjakot town and is working as a cook in a Madrassa where the minor (Now deceased) was also studying in the 1st class.
"The absconder whose name yet has not been established but has been identified as a son of retired captain namely Mohd Akbar resident of village Saroola, police said.
"Police is in process to contact ARTO office for the identification of the owner of the car whose temporary number period has already been expired" said SHO.
