JCC lambasts State Administration for choking Ration supply | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 1: Jagti Co-ordination Committee has lambasted state administration for choking ration supply in Jagti camp. According to press release, addressing gathering of displaced Kashmiri Pandits, Ravi Zutshi president JCC said, "Kashmiri Pandits huddled together in substandard displaced settlement in Jagti are being subjected to gruesome human rights violation by the administration; which is supposed to protect right to life and limb of the internally displaced and religiously cleansed Kashmiri Pandit community. Displaced KPs in the camp have been continuously deprived of the basic amenities like water and electricity supply. The state sponsored genocide has not stopped here only but the administration has resorted to tightening the noose around the nationalist community by choking the ration supply as the families are living without ration from a considerable period of time. Not only that the so called hospital that is supposed to be functioning the Displaced settlement lacks hygiene and health care infrastructure. We appeal to the Governor, NN Vohra to look into the matter and direct the Relief Organization to stop this state sponsored genocide of the community in the settlement area in Jagti. It is matter of shame that when the most important festival of Maha Shivratri is round the corner and the administration has stopped the ration supply of the KPs living the this temporary settlement." Lambasting the administration for violating the human rights of the KP community in every sphere of life, Zutshi said, "It is matter of national shame that when debate about tolerance and intolerance has grabbed the national space but the intolerance towards the religiously cleansed Kashmiri Pandits is increasing day by day. Indian state needs to go for course correction in terms of dealing towards the religiously cleansed Kashmiri Pandits' if it is serious to deliver justice to the persecuted community. Indian state and the Indian political class and besides the communally oriented state administration from the very inception has termed the displaced community as "Migrants". Others who were present on the occasion included Raj Kapoor, Sunil Raina, Chand Ji Pandita, Sanjay Raina, Chuni Lal, RK Raina, Narinder ji and Shiben ji. |
