JTC, PCC criticize government for neglecting KP community | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 1: Jagti Tenement Committee and Pradesh Congress Committee (Migrant Cell) today criticized both the government in State and in Center for ignoring Kashmiri Pandit Community in a meeting organized under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita. According to press release, while addressing the participants Pandita has expressed his concern over neglect of the Kashmiri Pandit Migrant community, he said that this community has been totally ignored as no provisions for grant of compensation to the Migrant families of Kashmiri Pandit community who have suffered huge loss during past 26 years of migration due to damages to their properties. "No mention has been made for enhancement of monthly cash assistance relief, has the community is presently been facing difficulties in meeting their domestic needs with meager relief assistance", said Pandita. However, during previous Budget proposals in community assured us for permanent rehabilitation the community was assured which turns out to be an eye wash as nothing has been done in this direction both by State government as well as Central government. Pandita has said that the present budget is against the poor masses as nothing has been done for the welfare and upliftment of the poor and dwon trodden. "Since the BJP came to power in centre, unrest is prevailing all over India and the false commitments made were by the Union government led by PM Narendra Modi", he castigated. |
