JAMMU, Mar 1: Department of Agriculture today organizes awareness camp for farmers here at Panchayats Ghaink and Mathwar.
According to press release, nearby hundreds of farmers participated, SDAO Marh KK Gupta addressed farmers about various schemes of Agriculture department with the emphasis to adopt modern technology , diversification of agriculture, moisture conservation with the concept of per drop more crop, horticulture etc.
The farmers appreciated the efforts of Agriculture Department and requested to organize such camps before each cropping season. The vegetable seeds were distributed among the farmers of concerned panchayats.
The camps were organized on the directions of Director Agriculture Dr S S Jamwal. The officers of the agriculture department who delivered lectures include Surinder Dhar Subject Matter Specialist, Amrik Singh, Mohinder Kour, Vandana Kotwal, Rajan Nanavati, Vivek Mahajan, Mohan Singh Salathia. |
