Omar Prakash criticizes Modi for failing to appoint Lokpal | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 1: Concerning over non-seriousness performance of Modi Government in appointing Lokpal at the centre, Om Parkash Sharma - social worker and an activist of Anna Hazzare movement against corruption Jammu & Kashmir branch said that before election Modi has made tall promises which have fallen flat on the ground. As per press release, Om Parkash Sharma said that Modi had said that if people of the country will support his party and come in power in the centre his first preference will be to weed out corruption which has engulfed the all wings of the Government but after grabbing power in the centre his government totally mum over this issue as per the previous UPA Govt. which was thrown out by the people of the country for the non preference on corruption. Om Parkash Sharma further said that keeping in view in delaying the appointment of Lokapal which was required to be established in the Centre at the earliest under Article of the new Act of the country named Lokapal/Lokayukta 2013 has sought Information through RTI Act, 2005 from the Prime Minister's office. The reasons of delay in the appointment of Lokapal/ Lokayukta whether this delay is an political or legal grounds and time frame for its appointment.
