Symposium on 'Beti Padao Beti Bachao' organized

UDHAMPUR, Mar 1: Progressive Youth Society Udhampur organized symposium on 'Beti Padao Beti Bachao' at Kooh in collaboration with Sister Margaret Foundation Kolkata in the premises of Bansi Memorial Public School Koohnalla in Ramnagar.
Renowned drama director OP Shakir was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The programme was presided over by Kewal Singh Principal of the school. The programme started with welcome address by Manoj Kumar Sharma "Nishchint" President Progressive Youth Society who also conducted the proceedings of the function. ln the symposium on "Beti Padao Beti Bachao",eight students namely Mitali Bandhotra, Amit Singh, Vishavdev Singh, Ekta Thakur, Sonali Devi, Shivani Devi, Rohit Singh & Suraj Singh presented their thoughts who were honoured with certificates.
In his address,Kewal Singh Principal thanked to Progressive Youth Society for organizing such a valuable awareness programme" which was recently launched by our Prime Minister in Haryana. O.P. Shakir Chief Guest in his speech highlighted the importance of education to girl child. He stressed the audience to ensure the qualification of girls always because a girl is the backbone of society.
