| GDC, Billawar celebrates Science Day | | | | Jammu, March 1 : Government Degree College, Billawar celebrated 'National Science Day' to commemorate the discovery of the 'Raman Effect', a Nobel prize winning discovery by Sir C.V. Raman in college premises here today. According to press release, on this occasion, a symposium on the topic "Scientific Temper is the pre-requisite for the Development of the Country" was organized in which a large no of students participated. Prof. Suresh Kumar Sharma, principal of the college was the chief guest on the occasion. The participating threw light on the importance of developing scientific attitude at personal, social, political and economic levels for development of the country. |
