Jammu, Mar 07: Expressing his concerns over failure of the state government to provide basic facility like ration to the displaced Kashmiri Pandits as well as salaries to PM package employees, Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) Chief Kundan Kashmiri today said that denial of ration to the displaced community is a big human rights violation and warned to launch massive agitation against non availability of ration to exiled community. KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri while chairing a meeting in national capital (New Delhi) said KP's were expecting lot of improvement in public distribution system during the present dispensation at state and center but it is total shocking that KP's were denied ration even on the important festival of Maha Shivratri. Kundan Kashmiri further said that the launching of the Food Security Act should not have been a hindrance for the CAPD to release ration items to the Kashmiri Pandits who had to celebrate main festival of community i.e. the auspicious Maha-Shivratri. Terming this as callous approach from concerned department, the KPC Chief Kundan Kashmiri said that denial of ration to the displaced community is a big human rights violation. He urged upon the State government to ensure immediate supply of rations to the Kashmiri migrants camps and non-campus located in various parts of Jammu. Kundan Kashmiri also warned the state if displaced KP community were deprived from the ration on the bases of old scale by the Govt, they will be forced to come out on the streets on mass scale to launch an effective agitation at Jammu, Delhi and other place. At the same time he appealed to the Governor of J&K state to intervene in to the matter urgently. |
