KPs resent non supply of ration, sugar for last few months | | | Ashwani Sharma Early times report Udhampur Mar 07: Various migrant bo,dies have expressed concern over the non availability of ration to exiled community and also resented the non supply of ration, sugar for last few months further have exaggerated their miseries. Some members of exiled community namely Ashwani Bhat, Ashok Bhat , Mohan Lal and others told to Early Times that we denied of our quota of ration from CA&PD Department for the last few months are being forced to purchase the ration from the open market. They said that despite their complaints lodged with Relief Commissioner, Tehsil Supply Officer (TSO) and even to Assistant Director CA&PD Amir Choudary nothing concrete outcome yet has been witnessed till date. They also added that some days before the administration also has instructed to Kashmiri migrants that they have released ration supply to Kashmiri Migrant as per new directions. They lamented that as per new order only 4kg rice, 1kg wheat shall be given to per head of family while previously they were getting 9kg rice, 2kg atta , and one kg Suger per head each family. They demanded that migrants be provided ration as per old scale and not under NFSA as migrants are neither in BPL nor APL category. They also demanded for early release of ration against three months i.e. December, January and February. They lamented that Maha Shivratri is the main festival of kashmiri pandits but this first time when we have not received the ration supply ahead of the festival They have requested to the Governor N N Vohra to intervene the matter and pass instructions to release ration to exiled community. Assistant Director Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) Amir Choudhary said that we yet have not been allocated the migrant's ration supply as this comes under the jurisdiction of main Directorate CA&PD. |
