Jammu, Mar 7: Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is paying lakhs of rupees as annul rent for 20 employees who are moving with darbar in summer capital for years.
Pleading anonymity an employee of Board informed Early Times that nearby 80 employees of both division move with darbar every year in which there are 20 non- gazetted employees from Jammu. The employees from Kashmir division, Board have been providing quarters proper accommodation (one room for each employee) in winter capital but it was totally inverse when the Jammu employees moves to summer capital these employees was dumped by board in hotel rooms (two person in a single room).
Having no proper facilities in summer capital no Jammu employee was interested to move with darbar. It's good to made all arrangement by Board for Kashmir division employees in winter capital but why the board didn't provide same facilities to Jammu division employees in summer capital. Another employee of board said that in Kashmir division, the board has adequate land for quarters but instead of construction their own quarters building they spent lakhs rupees as rent. In 2014, a partition of hall in board complex, the board had established four rooms for these employees which lack basic facilities and no one stay in these rooms.
"Years lapse, BOSE didn't initiate the construction work of quarters for 20 employees of Jammu division, which pointed towards a hidden nexus between higher authority of Board and hotel owners where these employees accommodate.", sources alleged.
Another employee of Board said that time and again they employees urged to higher authority of board to construct quarters in summer capital but till date the board didn't not taken any decision. Repeated calls by this Jurno to BOSE, Secretary, Prof. Veena Pandita didn't respond the phone calls.
