Jammu, Mar 9: All India Jat Mahasabha today held a meeting at Jammu in which they urged upon Governor N N Vohra to provide the agreed one time settlement compensation to Pok refugees. According to press release, chairman of Mahasabha, Manmohan Singh demanded to be notified of what papers and documents are required to finalize the settlement since most of the families have fragmented into small (Nuclear) families. He also requested all the other refugee and border communities to come togehter under one umbrella to fight for their rights. "Our community which lives near border faces the brunt of border firing, our children are not that qualified", he said, adding that the Government should provide circumstantial benefits to these people, which will help them get Government jobs despite the disturbances in their lives, if the Government fails to provide for the needs and demands of the refugees before April 30, 2016, a big agitation, will start tehsil wise under the banner of Jat Mahasabha.
