| Vehicle lifter held, stolen Scooties recovered | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 9: Bagh-E-Bahu Police today arrested a bike and recovered two stolen Scooties from his possession. Further investigations are on in this regard.
Police said, the accused has been identified as Mohd Iqbal Mir s/o Gulam Mohidin r/o Manshatr Mir Mohalla, Kupwara."
Sources said that a naka, near police station was laid and police team intercepted a Scooty bearing no JK02BG- 9008."
"During checking the driver namely Mohd Iqbal failed to produce any documents, however on sustained questioning he revealed that he had stolen it from Bagh-e-Bahu parking on 26/01/2016.
He also confessed one more theft of Motor Cycle No JMU-BK-2036 stolen from the same area and both vehicles were recovered accordingly from the accused for which cases vide FIR NO 17/2016 U/S 379/RPC and FIR NO 29/2016 U/S 379/RPC stand registered at concerned police station. "Police is interrogating the thief and more recoveries are expected on his disclosures, police said.
