Early Times Report Jammu, Jun 2: High court judge Mohammad Yaqoob Mir today directed SSP, Jammu, to file fresh status report as regards the arrest of rest of the accused in Bapu Asaram Ashram case. The court observed that the requisite affidavit filed by the SSP on May 20, 2016 was suggestive of the fact that the inter departmental communication pertaining to the release of funds had delayed the process of sending of teams to the concerned states and to advance the progress of the investigation, igonroing the financial difficulty. The AAG said as investigation teams had been sent to five states, some time might be granted for filing the detailed latest status report. Justice Mir said it was a matter of concern that though the case was registered in 2013 at police station, Nowabad, all the accused had so far not been nabbed. "The fact remains why there should be so huge delay in nabbing all the accused involved," he said. The court directed SSP to file latest status report and fixed June 9 as next date of hearing.
