By ignoring mass base leaders, Cong encouraging 'Parivarwad' in party | | | Early Times Report jammu, June 2: There is strong anger among mass base and dedicated Congress workers because party leadership is encouraging "Parivarwad" by sidelining those committed leaders who have following in their respective areas. It appears that party leadership has not learnt any lesson from his insulting defeat in Lok Sabha and Assembly polls. Committed and mass base leaders, feeling suffocated in the party, are seriously exploring other possibilities because there is no one to listen to those leaders, who have following their areas. Instead of encouraging these mass base leaders, party leadership is encouraging parachute leaders at their cost. The glaring example is projecting of Rajneesh Sharma alias "Mian", who is son of veteran Congress stalwart Pandit Mangat Ram Sharma, who is being projected in the party at the cost of party's mass base Prem Sagar Aziz. The first attempt to project Mian was badly backfired when he was given party mandate by cutting ticket of Prem Sagar Aziz. Mian, who most of the time remained in city, had faired very badly and came at the fourth place in the electoral battle. What is more important Bani, is home town of Pandit Mangat Ram but his son badly lost the elections. There were many reasons and most important of all, this parachute leader has no connection with the common masses. Even after his shameless defeat in the assembly elections, Congress leadership is still projecting him, reasons best known to the party leaders. Mian has been made additional treasurer of the party. The mass base leaders, who have been sidelined for projecting such sons of politicians, are seriously thinking to say good bye to the party. |
