Jammu, Jun 2: A pregnant woman died of critical burn injuries she received when her house caught fire in the Pargwal area on the city outskirts here.
"Fire broke out this morning in the house of one Kala Ram, a resident of Jamana Bella, Pargwal, tehsil Akhnoor," police said. They said Ram's wife Rajni Devi, who was pregnant, received 70 per cent burn injuries and was shifted to Akhnoor hospital.
"The lady could not respond to the treatment and died. After post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family for last rites," police said. |
