Kashmir unrest forces Mantri to visit ladies beauty parlour for hair cut

Hyder Ali Early Times Report Srinagar, July 25: Apprehending trouble for visiting hair saloon for men in restive Kashmir, a minister from the ruling-Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) got his haircut done from a ladies beauty parlour lest the male customers at the other shop target him. Even as some haircut shops in residential colonies have been operating during the ongoing unrest in Kashmir, the minister "strategically opted" for a ladies beauty parlour. Though the ladies beauty parlours have been shut for all these days of turmoil, official sources said, the minister approached one such outlet persuading them to keep the parlour secretly open for him and that he was willing to pay additional charges. Official sources said the parlour was asked to arrange a male hairstylist for the minister in a posh locality here. Witnesses said on reaching the parlour, operating from a residential house, the minister got down from his vehicle and ran straight into the beauty parlour.
