SKMPM calls upon Revenue Minister, urges to vacate grabbed land in Valley | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 15: Urging to vacate grabbed land of Kashmiri Pandits, in their native places in the valley, Save Kashmiri Migrant Property Movement (SKMPM) called upon Revenue Minister Javid Mustafa Mir, here today. According to press release, a deputation led by its President Vijay Raina met the Revenue Minister Jenab Javaid Mustafa Mir at his residence to aware him regarding the encroachment and land grabbing of the migrants property in Kashmir Valley by the land mafia with the help of the revenue officials. Raina stressed upon the implementation of the Jammu & Kashmir Migrant Immovable Property (Preservation, Protection and Restraint on Distress Sales) Act, 1997. "The DC's are the custodians of the migrant property but they are not acting under the Act to safe guard or to give the possession to the Migrants", he told to the Minister and added that a Migrant who has died in year 2007 his sale deed has been executed in 2010 in the name of deceased. "Tempering of records by the revenue department with the help of land mafia has been done in most of the cases. Mutation has been performed without the knowledge of the owners of the migrant property", he said. The Minister has assured the delegation that this government is committed to address the grievances of the people and he would personally took-up the cases one by one and the encroachment will be removed very soon. The delegation which included were, Vinod Ji Razdan, Shadi Lal Kanth, Anil Wangnoo, Laxman Ji Bhan, Bihari Lal Dhar and Chuni Lal Raina. |
