Congress expresses concern over non-availability of ration | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 15: Alleging non-availability of ration, especially Atta in Sunderbani tehsil of Rajouri district for the last three months, Ravinder Sharma, chief spokesperson J&K PCC asked the authorities to rush adequate quantity of APL and BPL ration to the people immediately. According to press release, he conducted tour of the area and held meetings of Block Congress workers to take stock of problems of people, said that for the last 3 months adequate quantity of ration has not been supplied to the area. He urged upon the Govt. to announce relief package for the farmers who have got extensive damage to their crops. He also demanded free ration to people for six months. "The genuine people has not been compensated for the damage of their kachha houses as per norms fixed by the Govt. and they have been kept high and dry, Whereas undeserving people have managed the relief in connivance with the lower level officials, " he said and demanded that all those whose houses damaged should be provided relief as per norms. He also demanded that enquiry should be conducted in order to ensure proper relief for deserving and poor people. He said if the needful was not done within 15 days, Block Congress Committee Sunderbani will launch protest for the genuine cause of the people of the area. |
