Painter beaten to death over a petty issue

Jammu, Apr 15: A youth was allegedly beaten to death by four unidentified youth over a tiff after collision between two motorcycles at Patoli area, this night.
The deceased has been identified Rakesh Kumar son of late Kalu ram of Patoli area.
Police sources said that incident took place after the deceased who was painter by profession along with his brother Ashok were riding a motorcycle which collided with another motorcycle riding by four unidentified youth.
After collision arguments started between both the parties which later turned into fists and blows causing death of Rakesh Kumar.
"Leaving behind the Rakesh in unconscious condition, 4 unidentified youth managed to escape from the spot along with their motorcycle", said a police source adding that the brother of deceased informed the police and the unconscious youth was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital.
Rakesh was pronounced as brought dead in the GMC&H, said police.
Police said that a case under section 302 of RPC has been registered and haunt to nab the absconding accused is on and further investigation is on.
