MGNREGA workers stage protest against RDD 5/16/2015 10:06:16 PM Early Times Report Doda, May 16: A large number MNREGA workers today have been denied wages by the Rural Development Department and stages protest against the government. According to press release, the poor and hapless workers, who have offered their services under various works under MGNREGA in different blocks of Gath block assembled outside DC office Doda and started protest demonstration against the Rural Development Department. They alleged that concerned BDA Gath were not paying their pending wages for the last over one year and even the matter was brought to the notice of him but nothing has done in favour of workers. Meanwhile, they submitted a memorandum in DC office in which they demanding release of their one year pending wages. They warned to intensify their agitation if the wages of poor workers were not paid within a week.
