GCW Parade organizes book release function

Jammu, May 16: Government College for Women, Parade today organized a book release function of the book entitled "Advances in Fish and Wildlife Ecology and Biology".
According to press release, the book was edited by Prof. BL Kaul and Dr. AK Verma and Kavinder Gupta Speaker, Legislative Assembly.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta appreciated the work done in the field of Limnology, Fish and Wildlife Ecology and Biology done by the contributors from various states of the country including Jammu and Kashmir and also from abroad.
He said that human interference in the habitats has enormously impacted the biodiversity and corrective measures to reverse the trend are imperative.
Principal of college, Dr. Hemla Aggrawal welcomed the speaker and other guests and dwelt upon the work being done by the College in the field of academics and other activities after having being declared as the first Autonomous College in the Jammu division.
Prof. M.K. Raina, Former Head, Dept. of Zoology, University of Kashmir delivered the Keynote Address and Prof. P.L. Kaul, Former Principal, GDC, Akhnoor read a review of the volume. Prof. B.L. Kaul also spoke on the occasion about the challenges of editorial work that he has undertaken for the last several years. Dr. Pragya Khanna conducted the proceedings of the program and vote of thanks was presented by Dr. A.K. Verma.
